Blurb:
Sometimes, finding your destiny means doing the exact opposite of what The Fates have planned.

Winning the heart of an immortal assassin was a dream come true for Kristia Tostenson. Now she’s knee deep in wedding plans, goddess lessons, and stolen kisses. But her decision to become immortal could end in heartbreak -- not only for Kristia, but for the god who loves her. Because while Ull would do anything to protect his bride, even the God of Winter is powerless against the Norse apocalypse. Ragnarok is coming.

And the gods aren’t even close to ready.

Buy Endre on:
  And AMAZON UK

And here's a little Endre excerpt, just for you!!

When I came to, my chest heaved with sobs. Cold sweat cloaked my body from my forehead to the backs of my knees. My hair was damp, my pulse was racing, and my fingers gripped the sheets so tightly my knuckles ached. I was in my room at Ýdalir, the one place I had always felt safe. Only now I was absolutely terrified.

I ripped the covers off and wrapped my arms around my legs. My nose twitched at an unfamiliar smell. I pulled the cord on the bedside lamp, and looked around to see what might be burning. There was no smoke in the room; all of the furniture seemed to be intact. But when I glanced down, I saw the hems of my pajamas. They were black, singed from the fire I’d desperately hoped had been part of a dream.

This time things had gone too far. If my smoldering pant legs were any indication, being injured in a vision could have far-reaching worldly consequences. And if Elfie had come that close to killing me . . .

Ull had his rules, but I no longer cared. I jumped out of bed and raced down the hallway. When I reached his door I pounded on the distressed wood. Tears streamed down my face but I didn’t bother to wipe them away. The downpour was too intense; it wouldn’t have done any good anyway.

The door flew open and Ull stood on the other side. He wore a loose pair of grey sweatpants and nothing else. Oh hot bejeebus. There was no way this guy was for real. It just wasn’t humanly possible to look that good.

Oh, right. Ull wasn’t human.

Despite the agony coursing through my awakening consciousness, this was a moment of glory I’d remember forever—the first time I saw Ull’s naked torso. His sweats hung low on his hips, affording me a view of the cut just above the bone.

Holy Lord.

“Kristia?” Ull rubbed the sleep from his eyes. He took in my matted hair, tear-streaked face, and shaking hands. “Great Odin. What happened?”

He pulled me to him, crushing my face against the muscles of his chest. The knot in my stomach loosened infinitesimally. Just being near Ull gave me peace, but being this near Ull was like taking a sedative. Breathing in his woodsy smell made my panic subside. And when he pressed his hands against me—one to my hair, the other against the small of my back—my gut knew I was safe. Nothing bad could happen to me so long as I was in Ull’s arms. I inhaled again, letting his familiar scent fill me from the inside until my shaking stilled. Then I pressed my lips against his skin. Hard.

“Sweetheart?” he asked again.

“I had another vision and it freaked me out. Can I stay with you?” I didn’t take my lips off his chest as I spoke. I couldn’t. He tasted divine—like spruce and soap and home. There was a very real possibility my mouth might be permanently adhered to his flesh, like a kid who’d tried to lick a frozen railing.

Only this was far less unpleasant.

Tristan Knight and the #NACrushTourney14

My dear friend Kristie Cook is the Maker of Tristan Knight. He's the absolutely swoon-worthy immortal warrior from her Soul Savers series, and I adore him. He's up in the #NACrushTourney14 and he needs your votes Today!

NA Crush Tourney 14 and My Apologies

Hei hei, y'all. Mange takk to the readers, bloggers, and friends who turned out to support Ull in his Crush Tourney match. He lost to an erotic bestseller... but only by 8%. For a waffle-baking, sticker-giving Norse god, that's not too shabby. And it's all because of your love and support. Thank you!!

We usually like to keep things pretty lighthearted around here. But I've gotten a LOT of messages from you about the circumstances surrounding this year's NA Crush Tourney, and we need to get serious for a minute. I just want you all to know, I'm sorry.

I'm REALLY sorry.

We all know certain genres of New Adult books contain pretty hawt content. We expect it when we pick up some genres (steamy contemps and eroticas), and we don't expect it when we pick up others (sweet romances and some specs). The beauty of writing in an emerging category is that there's room for ALL tastes and heat levels in our growing community, and we can all appreciate and RESPECT each other. Some of my best friends write the kind of content that would make Ull turn fifty shades of bright red (wouldn't that be funny to see!), and I cheer for their stories, just as they cheer for Ull as a family friendly book-boyfriend. We know what we expect when we pick up each other's books. And I know Ull's readers expect a certain kind of content from him. I take your expectations of my content very seriously, and I would never knowingly violate your trust. But when I asked you to click through to NA Alley to vote for him on Thursday, I unwillingly exposed you to some EXTREMELY graphic imagery in his competitor post. And for that, I am truly sorry.

I know a lot of you are upset. And I know a lot of your anger is directed at NA Alley. Please know, the decision to allow R-rated graphics in the posts without providing some kind of click-through-for-consent was a decision made by a small committee at NA Alley, and not the Alley as a whole. I have been assured the Tourney will be run very differently moving forward. I know this doesn't make up for the images I exposed you and your followers to, and for that I am truly sorry. But please know I hold the Alley in the highest regard, both as a pioneer in NA Literature, and as a resource for the writing community. And I know they are going to continue to break new ground and champion New Adult literature for all of us -- while being respectful of readers and writers alike.

Ull and I truly appreciate your support. Feel free to contact us with your ongoing concerns. We hear you, and we are so very sorry.

Skal,
ST

Ull's In The #NACrushTourney14!!!! And His Advocate Is AWESOME!!!

Hei hei, y'all. I've got some MAJOR news.

Are you ready?

Wait for it....

Ull's in this year's #NACrushTourney14!!! He's one of the hunky book boyfriends that gets to compete for the title of Ultimate New Adult Crush! Our little ole Ull, is on an actual list with Abbi Glines' Rush, J. Lynn's Cam, Cora Carmack's Carson and Kristie Cook's Tristan!
Our Norse god is on a list with my beloved book boyfriend, Tristan!!
HOW FREAKING COOL IS THAT??

But wait, there's more!

Ull scored the AWESOMEST advocate ever. One of my very favorite book bloggers and my dear friend, Bianca from Martini Times Romance, stepped in to champion Ull's bid for the Tourney. She's been working her tushie off, despite her already packed schedule, with the help of some amazing friends. Ull's Valkyries, headed up by the Biblio Belles' lovely Britt, the ever-so-patient Stacey Nash, and the oh-so-smexy author Aly Martinez, and the entire RagnaRockstars team have been working around the clock to bring y'all all kinds of Norse god-goodness, and I have just one thing to say:

Get ready to #Drool4Ull.

Seriously, these girls are blowing me away with their Ull love, and I am all kinds of grateful. THANK YOU for working so very, very hard. For taking precious free time to cheer for our boy. I'm amazed, and humbled, and just so very thankful for everything you're doing. I <3 you so very much. And Ull does too.

Stay tuned for more tourney news. We're having so much fun playing with this! We hope we can make you smile, too.

Skal, y'all!
xoxo, ST

Our very own God of Winter is finally back. Elsker is now live on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo and iBooks. It's on sale for $0.99 through June 6th, so grab Ull while he's less than a buck!

Tur is perma-free on Amazon US, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, iBooks and Smashwords. Meet Gunnar and find out why he's the fun one. Or so I'm told. :)

I am so beyond grateful to EVERYONE who helped to get these books back out there again. My amazing editor Eden Plantz and my die-hard warrior writer friend Stacey Nash made sure Ull and Gunnar came back, better than ever. Rebecca K. Sterling's gorgeous covers and InkSlinger's amazing PR made the books nice and shiny. My friends at IndieIgnites and the entire #NALitChat crew taught me more than I could have imagined about indie pubbing. JC Emery, Nazarea Andrews, Chrystalla Thoma, Melinda Dozier, and poor Stacey Nash talked me off more ledges than should admit. The readers and bloggers who took time away from their real lives to spend with my imaginary friends blew me away -- thank you for sharing your kind words. You made my day more often than you could possibly know. And Team Elsker... *sighs* I'd be completely lost without the greatest street team in all the realms. Y'all have no idea what you've meant to me through this process. You got me through the rough patches, over and over again. Takk for sharing your recipes, your Skarsy links, and your love. You guys rock.

Thank you to each and every reader, blogger, and fan who have championed our gods. I hope Ull and Gunnar make you smile. And now, I am off to have some Norsk waffles. Skal, y'all.

Two Loves

A foster kid no one wanted, Nick had a hard life with walls to protect himself from getting hurt yet again. That all changes when he's placed with yet another couple, this time in Falledge.
There's something different here. This place actually isn't that bad. And there's this girl. Justina. She's amazing.
And those walls Nick built? Justina and her twin Julianna knock them down until not even dust remains. The trio are closer than green on grass, and eventually Nick and Justina fall in love.
Only Nick should have kept those walls. Because death separates him from his love.
Flash forward ten years. Nick's life is a mess. Each year, he returns to Falledge and places a black hellebore on Justina's grave. Only this year, Julianna sees him. And he happens to die and come back to life with superpowers. Battles a super villain.
And somehow, ends up healing a little and even falling in love with Julianna.
After all, Justina would have wanted him to move on.
Right?
Two loves.
But then the impossible happens. A witch takes control of Julianna's body and brings Justina's soul with her.
Suddenly, being in love with twins is a lot more serious…

BLURB:
After destroying Skull Krusher, Nicholas Adams thinks Falledge is safe and becomes a security guard at the museum, watching a valuable statue. Unfortunately, the Egyptian statue houses the soul of a scorned witch, biding her time to have her revenge on the descendants of her cheating lover.

Kiya the witch isn't the only new foe in town as the drug that created Skull Krusher has now transformed a scientist into yet another monster, forcing Nicholas to don his Black Hellebore mask again and save Falledge.

Nicholas has no help this time as Kiya gains possession of his love Julianna's body and brings the soul of Justina, Nicholas's high school sweetheart and Julianna's twin, with her. Despite himself, Nicholas is torn between the sisters. If he can't stop the fiends from taking over the world and destroying humankind, he'd never be able to find lasting, true love.

Book One in The Danaan Trilogy

About Laura:

Laura Howard lives in New Hampshire with her husband and four children. Her obsession with books began at the age of 6 when she got her first library card. Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High and other girly novels were routinely devoured in single sittings. Books took a backseat to diapers when she had her first child. It wasn’t until the release of a little novel called Twilight, 8 years later, that she rediscovered her love of fiction. Soon after, her own characters began to make themselves known.

Happy Book Birthday Infinite Potential!

I believe a well-rounded diet consists of coffee, scotch, chocolate, popcorn and Luna Bars - in that order - and have been accused of violating grammar and etiquette rules in at least seven countries. My Muse is a Valkyrie named Prue, so look out.

Okay, I was asked to share the top 5 things you never would have guessed about me. This might be painful, but here goes:
1      I’m deathly afraid of clowns, puppets, masks and heights. Not in that order. I don’t know where the fear of clowns, puppets and masks comes from. I have a friend who is a psychologist and she says it’s a combination of my complete transparency, coupled with the difficulty I have seeing past the subterfuge of others. I’m not sure – I used to love the clowns at the circus. As for the height thing – that’s interesting, considering fact number 2…
2     I learned how to fly an airplane before I learned how to drive a car. Flying doesn’t affect my fear of heights. I love flying. I grew up flying with my Dad and he taught my brother and I how to fly as soon as we were able to see over the nose of the plane! So, maybe it’s not really a fear of heights, but a fear of being on the edge, teetering on the precipice?
3     I began my career in the Navy as a welder. Really! I was darn good at it too! My grandfather taught me how to weld (a little bit) when I was a little girl and I love the magic of joining metal together. I’m a bit of a metal geek (okay, a LOT of a metal geek) and the whole process still fascinates me. I quickly moved on too inspection and testing after suffering a nasty burn welding on a pipe on a ship in the Bay of Oman, but that’s a story for another day!
My iPod would probably have you scratching your head in confusion. I have opera, operetta’s (Gilbert & Sullivan), classical music, country, pop, rap, new wave, rock and roll, heavy metal – you name it. Most of my playlists are a real mash-up of genre, rhythm and tone. Whatever sets the mood best! I tend to gravitate toward darker, more melancholy songs when I’m really in “writing” mode. It helps me reach all those feelings!
I am possibly one of the most socially awkward and shy people you will ever meet, I’ve just learned to hide it well. I drag my husband to all the professional social functions I’m required to attend and he pushes me into other types of events, but I’m quite the wall-flower at heart. I can never figure out what to say or do and am terrified of glomming on to the ONE person who talks to me and never letting them go! With that said, once I know you and feel comfortable with you, I’m a firm believer in tackle hugs!
